About

Born in Perth (Boorloo), Western Australia, Ash is currently in her final year of studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts (fine art) at Curtin University.

Ash is a multidisciplinary artist that primarily uses drawing and printmaking to explore personal, emotional connections to everyday spaces. She often draws from life, creating an archive of images of what she sees on a day-to-day basis. Alternatively, she uses photography to capture moments in time and space during everyday car journeys, which are then translated through blurry, energetic watercolour monoprints.

Influenced by psychogeography, Ash uses her practice as a way of recording and piecing together experiences of the everyday to create incomplete ‘maps’ that reflect on how it feels to exist within a space.
